Born in July, 1969 and raised around Atlanta, Georgia, Gale Harold never dreamed about becoming an actor. He attended American University in Washington, D.C. and eventually left the Capital to study Fine Arts at the San Francisco Art Institute. It was Suzy Landau, producer for Francis Ford Coppola and daughter of Oscar winning actor, Martin Landau, who convinced him to take his act to the stage.

 

Gale completed the Actor’s Conservatory Program while at “A Noise Within Theatre Company” where he appeared in “The Misanthrope” and “Cymbeline” .In April 2001 he made his off Broadway debut in Austin Pendleton’s “Uncle Bob”, playing the character of Josh, opposite George Morfogen.

 

His film credits include WAKE (directed by Henry Leroy Finch), PARTICLES OF TRUTH (directed by Jennider Elster) and RHINOCEROS EYES (directed by Aaron Woodley).

 

Gale has recently completed his forth season of Showtime’s hit series QUEER AS FOLK, where he plays Brian Kinney.
